Multi Family
 
This category covers apartment developments of at least 5 units to luxury multi-unit high rise buildings; it also includes a single development of multiple buildings, possibly in a garden setting. The properties are classified A, B, or C based on quality, age, and amenities such as security, parking, recreational facilities, concierge, etc. This category includes apartments used as student housing near colleges and universities or senior housing. It also includes “mixed” use, apartments over retail or offices where the residential comprises a significant portion of the property. It does not include properties where units are rented on a weekly bases.

Office
 
Single story to high rise buildings used by single or multiple tenants; may also include light industrial parks used as general office facilities. Properties are rated class A, B, or C based on quality, age, and scope of available facilities and services provided; e.g. parking, security, telecommunications, etc.

Retail
 
Properties used to conduct sales/marketing to the consumer. These properties range from the corner “strip” center consisting of a single tenant building to a few stores; “neighborhood” center anchored by a known supermarket or drugstore chain; to the “regional” center anchored by major national or regional chain(s).

Industrial
 
Properties used in manufacturing, warehousing and distribution activities. This could be a single building or multiple buildings with single or multiple tenants. These buildings are typically 1 or 2 story concrete tilt-up or masonry construction. This category includes self-storage facilities.
